App-V with Med-V RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am looking for any official statement and/or documentation on deploying App-V on top of Med-V. We have a number of applications that will only working in Windows XP (IE6) and we want to move to Windows 7. So we want the advantages of being able to stream and update applications using App-V but we also need to wrap it in Med-V to get around the Windows XP compatibility issues. Any links to articles stating that the two are compatible would be fantastic.

    Thanks

  • I'm not aware of any official statements but I don't see any reason why this would not work. I agree with Znack here.

  • Hello,

Considering that Med-v is simply the distribution and management of a VM running XP (or your OS of choice), I would say that it would be no different than considering a normal scenario of normal clients.
