Reports on PerformancePoint Server with multiple datasets RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

I am trying to re-build SSRS report on PPS reports. I have a SSRS report which has multiple dataset. I wanted to know if we can create multiple datasets on single PPS report.

My query in these reports are pointing to SSAS Cube.

    Can someone help?

    Thanks,

    Suhas H

  • Could you provide a little more information.

I believe, if your SSRS report is deployed on reporting server than you can call it from PPS dashboard regardless of how many datasets the report uses.

PPS reports i.e. analytical reports which are built on PPS data source. You can not have more that 1 data source for an analytical report.

  • Suhas,

Unfortunately, both you and Mike Walsh are in the wrong forum.  I believe you are talking about either PerformancePoint Services in MOSS 2010, or PerformancePoint Server 2007 Monitoring & Analytics.  Neither of these is covered in this forum.  The current forum is for PerformancePoint Server 2007 Planning issues and questions.

As for using an SSRS report that contains multiple datasets for a Grid type report in either of the above mentioned products (PPS Services in MOSS2010 or PPS 2007 M&A) should be fine with this.  I have not tried myself but cannot think of a reason it would not work.

Are you receiving errors or having other difficulties getting it working?  Let me know and I can try testing it out for you if you need.

If you wish to post the question in the other forums I have listed the most likely ones below.

Let me know if you have more questions at Rob.Iversen@MSXGroup.com.

    Thanks

    Rob
