  • The way I've seen it done is with VBA, basically to script the import process
using the Microsoft Project client. It can be done using PSI code against
the server, but that's probably more work than just doing it in VBA.

For specifically how to perform this task in VBA, you may wish to take a
look at the Microsoft Project Developer forum.

In addition to Andrew's sage advice, I would strongly encourage you and your PMs to spend the extra time it takes to import each project individually.  This will give each of you the chance to review each project, to "clean up" them up as needed, and to make sure they all conform to your company's standards for enterprise projects.  Also, I would encourage you and your PMs to use the Import Project Wizard so that you have the chance to map local resources to enterprise resources during the import process.  Just an additional thought.  Hope this helps.
