Permissions groups appearing from other team sites appearing in people and groups on a site with unique permissions RRS feed

    Hello, I was wondering if anyone has come across this...

    I have a site collection with numerous team sites that have all been created with unique permissions. When I go into Site settings>Site permissions of each site I can see the message 'this site has unique permissions' and the 3 standard unique permissions groups (Approvers/Members/Visitors).

    However if i go into the People and groups view each  site I can see all the permissions groups for all the other sites on the same site collection? any idea how this occurrs and how to prevent this?

    The default People and Groups page shows all groups for the site collection. Not sure you can modify that to display only for site OOB. You see the groups assigned to that subsite in Site Permissions page.
