Error sealing MP: Identity of a ManagementPack should be the same as its File name RRS feed

  • Question

    • I’mtrying to seal a MP thanks to excellent post of Jonathan Almquist .The name of my unseal MP is
     XXX.conexion.bd.{0F55A3C0-33CE-4528-AD93-D9CE6B8933C3}.{4C081016-8B97-9F35-22A2-36F2B0FBB062}.xml
    • I execute the next command:

    C:\MPS>mpseal c:\mps\input\XXX.conexion.bd.{0F55A3C0-33CE-4528-AD93-D9CE6B8933C3}.{4C081016-8B97-9F35-22A2-36F2B0FBB062}.xml /I "c:\mps\mp" /Keyfile "c:\mps\key\PairKey.snk" /Company "XXX" /Outdir "c:\mps\output"

    • And I receive the next error:

    : Identity Mismatch: Loaded Identity (from ManagementPack Manifest section) is: [ID=XXX.conexion.bd] and the file name is [XXX.conexion.bd.{0F55A3C0-33CE-4528-D93-D9CE6B8933C3}.{4C081016-8B97-9F35-22A2-36F2B0FBB062}.xml]. Identity of a ManagementPack  should be the same as its File name (without the file extension).

    • In the xml file, we could see ID Identity:

    <Identity>
    <ID>XXX.conexion.bd</ID>

    Any help would be appreciate

  • The sealing checks the referenced mp's but can't find these. Simply copy the mp's referenced to a location where they can be found (i believe it's an option of mpseal).

  • I have this same issue, also with a OleDbCheck monitor. Do you remember how you were able to fix this particular problem?
