SharePoint 2007, Kerberos , Active Directory Server and DNS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All,
Does any one has experience in installing everything on a single physical server and make it work. I have these things

    1. Windows Server 2008 R2 ( name of machine "dev01")
    2. SQL Server 2008 R2
    3. MOSS 2007 with SP2
    4. Active Directory server ( demo.local )
    5. DNS ( with forward zone for demo.local )
    6. IIS

Now I want to have three web applications on port 80. These all three application will use kerberos. The host headers for these applications will be A, B and C respectively. The application pool accounts will be  SPApool, SPBpool, SPCpool.

Can anybody guide me to set these application correctly with kerberos. I am having a tough time with setting SPN

  • Suggest you to first configure everything with NTLM and see if it works with all your DNS, AD, SQL, IIS on the same server. If this works, change the authentication mode to Kerberos.

If it is working with NTLM, share the SPN statements that you are using.
