FCS causing other services to fail RRS feed

  • Hello all,

    I'm come across some PCs where the Forefront services appear to be causing other services to fail, such as Windows Firewall and Automatic Updates.  It throw a 7022 error into the event log stating "<Service> hung on starting."  When the forefront services are disabled, the other services start fine on reboot. 

    Anyone come across this or have any ideas?

    Before going any further, we need more information:

    1.      What version of client PC?

    2.      Does this issue occur on all of the clients?

    3.      Which of the following Forefront service cause this issue?

    Microsoft Forefront Client Security State Assessment Service

    Microsoft Forefront Client Security Antimalware Service

    MOM
