order about schedule RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have many runbooks starting with a monitor date/ time, then next is a check schedule which is checking a schedule.

We also have another schedule in the runbook property page we like it to be used for general purpose for the all the runbooks like system up/ or down.

My  question is when the job runs, what is the order of the job?

for example : A:  1.check the schedule in property 2. monitor date/time  3. check schedule activity

B:1. monitor date/time 2. check schedule in property page 3. check schedule activity

    Thanks,

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The schedule in the runbook properties is checked first.

If you have for example a runbook that can only runnon specific hours, let’s say between 08:00 - 16:00, andthe time is 20:00, the runbook will not even start, it will not even go to the first activity in the runbook.

This is very easy to test as well, simply put a schedule that will deny the runbook from running and check.

    Best regards,
    Leon
