DHCP Server not assigning IP address from its starting of Address pool RRS feed

  • Hi Team,

    We have one subnet in DHCP whose IP address pool is 10.83.8.31 - 10.73.8.254. DHCP is always assigning IP from 41 or 60 randomly but not from 31. Also all IP assigned machines are with Pen icon on machine name. 

    Anyone having solution for this issue, please help me.

  • Hi,

    • DHCP server default gives an IP based on a hash of the device's MAC address. This normally allows a client's address to remain stable long-term.
    • The pen icon indicates "Active lease, DNS dynamic update pending.  This address is not available for lease by the DHCP server."
