Internet Connection sharing lost after reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, we have a problem with Internet Connection Sharing in that it ceases to work whenever the computer is restarted and have to be enabled manually.

The procedure we use is to first change the default IP address allocation by editing the registry key Registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetservicesSharedAccessParameters  and "ScopeAddress","ScopeAddressBackup

The secondary NIC is set to this IP-address.

Then we simply use "Properties->Sharing" on the internet-connected NIC and choose the secondary NIC.

This works perfectly as clients on the secondary NIC are able to use the internet sharing, however this no longer works whenever the machine is rebooted and the only way to enable internet sharing again is to first uncheck the sharing option and then check it again.

Is this issue known? Please advise
