Hi ferdi,
Thanks for the info, But I dont have mcafee NAC. since i am using mcafee EPo server and Mcafee virus scan VSE 8.5 and the microsoft NAP client is there any macanisum that i can implement intigration between these two. As the microsoft NAP client detect the microsoft defender updates in the same way can i check the mcafee DAT details via microsoft NAP. since the mcafee DAT information will be available in the registry.
Appreciate the responce.Friday, September 19, 2008 1:23 AM -
I have to same problem. We use Mcafee EPO 4.0 and NAP.
Looking for a SHA/SHV for mcafee.Sunday, November 2, 2008 3:49 PM -
Hi John,
With the microsoft NAP API's we can create SHA's and SHV's files.
AS MS NAP API's can be developed in C++ i hope we can creat a SHV& SHA's.
Please try in your end and let me know.Monday, November 3, 2008 2:09 PM -
I'm not really a C++ developer. So that's a problem.
It looks like a need Mcafee NAC. That's not a option for us.

Hi John,
ITs be a tricky but the price of each mcafee NAC client is double the cost of antivirus+anti spy client. Can you affort on this.Friday, November 14, 2008 10:40 AM -
There are no free SHA/SHV Mcafee available. The only SHA/SHV that are available are Mcafee NAC. But Mcafee NAC is not for free.
