What is causing the blue screen/memory dump? Just reloaded XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an ACER Travelmate C110 with Windows XP Professional currently loaded as the OS.  I just reloaded the OS and downloaded the drivers from ACER's website, and I am getting the blue screen/memory dump.  I was getting this message before I re-loaded the OS, and I believe it is a driver problem.  I have tried verifier.exe but it is too technical for me to understand its use. My device manager shows errors with the ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, and parport (hidden device).

How can I tell which driver is causing the problem?

I do notice the problem when I try to get online.  I have so far only used the wireless connection.  I have loaded a few of the memory dump error messages onto Skydrive:

  • Your BSODs are caused by Intel® PRO/Wireless LAN Driver (w70n51.sys)
You need to update your driver with the latest version.
Your driver seems to be an old version, from 2003 (3f61dabc).
