My 1tb hard drive from hitachi doesnt show up. RRS feed

  • So recently ive built a new computer a "gaming" computer and when im trying to format my 1tb hard drive it doesnt show up on the list please help me fix this cause im running out of space :(

  • Hi Unkelrunkel,

    Please open Disk Management and check if we could see the hard drive there.

    If there is no item, follow the step below to reinstall USB controller:

    Reinstall USB controllers.

    • Click Start, then type device manager in the Search box, then click Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right click a device and click Uninstall. Repeat for each device.
    • Once complete, restart your computer. Your USB controllers will automatically install.

    Update the BIOS, install your motherboard's latest chipset drivers. you need to view the manufacture website and the user manual.
