    As I see you want to install AD on a server.

    I recommend the server on which you are planning to install AD service will be only a DC/DNS server (You can also add DHCP on it). That means that I don't recommend installing applications on it ...

    For your domain, it is recommended to have at least two DC/DNS/GC servers for high-availability of AD/DNS services and so that you reduce the risk of losing your domain.
