  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a problem I if anyone can help me I appreciate:

    - I have a Domain Controller Windows 2003 R2 Sp2 with Sharepoint 2003 installed in it.

I had to demote the DC then I restarted the server and tried to access the Sharepoint site the error message appears:

    "Server Error in '/' Application"

The Sharepoint services are up, started and SQL too.

    What can I do?

    Thanks for now.

  • Hiya,

1: Is the server still member of the domain?

2: Are the IIS sites and application pools Started?

3: Is the SharePoint installation running with domain accounts?

  • Hi Jasper,

it is not a DC anymore, I demoted it.

In the IIS, all is started.

The Sharepoint installation is runnig with local account, must I change to the domain account?

    Thanks for while, Jasper.

  • Hiya ,

It shouldnt be a problem for that version of SharePoint running with local accounts, if it was previously running with local accounts?

Can you access your Central Administration page?

What does the application event log say when you try to access your pages?

  • Hi,

You are going to be missing 3 SharePoint User Groups that were created on the DC

    • WSS_Admin_WPG
    • WSS_Restricted_WPG
    • WSS_WPG

These can be re-created by running psconfigui and Do NOT disconnect from the Farm. This should repair your installation....
