BITS Error in Server Tec Preview with VMM Tec Preview RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm running VMM Tech Preview on Server Tech Preview. When I try to import Resources into VMM Library or try to import an Azure Pack Gallery Item with PS Commandlet Import-CloudResourceExtension I am getting BITS errors (Powershell) or Error 24381 (VMM) which is also BITS related. The BITS service is running, bitsadmin doesn't show any suspended jobs.

    Is this a known issue?

    kind regards,

    Norman

  • Hi Norman,

In addition, please also try to Added the -AllowUnencryptedTransfer switch  to the cmdlet " Import-CloudResourceExtension" to make it work without BITS service, and check if the error persists.

If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

  • Hi Norman,

Error 24381 means The transfer did not succeed. The failure could be due to timeout on the server, client cancelling the job, or client cmdlet failure, please Try running the cmdlet again.
