     i am settting up a lab where i want to test calling via lync client using extension numbers.

    i need some conguration help to initiate this task,

    i wanted to use a 4digit extensions , can i use ... +3007775501 where 5501 will be extension number for dialing?

    - What normalization rule will be required in Dial Plan section?

    - What Voice Poliy , Route, will be required?

    i have followd jeff schertz blog http://blog.schertz.name/2010/10/lync2010rc-deployment-part3/ but still unable to call...

    i just require to make calls internally..

    Hi,

    You can use as TelUri tel:+3007775501;ext=5501 for the user.

    External calls works only if you configure a gateway. You can use a Asterix to simulate the gateway.

    If you dial 5501 you have to noramlize, like Patern to match:^([5]\d{3})$ , translationrule +300777$1

    Normal if the number of the other user will be found the call workflow is internal
