Create Hidden Directories Under Shared Folders? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know how to create hidden folder shares, but my question goes a little deeper then that.

Can I make one of my directories/folders hidden under a SHARED folder? I hope I am making since. Basically, already having the shared folder created (not hidden) and then under that shared folder have hidden directories.

    Example: \\computername\shared folder\hidden folder$\

It just seems like when creating a share you either have it hidden or not and all child directories and folder inherit that share "type".

You have erroneously posted your Windows folder question in a public user forum dedicated to questions about Microsoft Project Server, an enterprise project management application.  I would recommend you repost your question in a user forum dedicated to questions about the Windows Explorer, for example.  Hope this helps.
