Keyboard stops working RRS feed

  • Hi, I was using my laptop and everything was working fine, then my laptop died from low battery, and as I plugged it in and turned it back on my keyboard stopped working except for the G and sometimes the H key.

    1.Clean the keyboard with compressed air to remove dust.

    2.Shut down the laptop.

    3.Remove the battery and cable.

    4.Press and hold the start button for 60 seconds.

    5.Re-insert the battery.

    6.Power on laptop to check the keyboard.

    If required: 

    [attach an external keyboard to the USB port and check if it's working or not.]

    If it doesn't help see technician.

    Please try to take S.Sengupta’s advice.

    Please try to update/reinstall keyboard driver in Device Managerment.

    Please also try to use On-Screen Keyboard to see if the G/H key works when the keyboard can’t work.

    If you use On-Screen Keyboard and connect external keyboard to it can work, please try to contact the PC manufacture.
