PowerShell & SOAP question RRS feed

  • Hi everyone,

I am pretty new to SOAP and PowerShell, so pardon the ignorance. Hoping someone might be able to provide some guidance or examples on how I might connect to a GroupWise email system using SOAP API and PowerShell. I've been looking over the GroupWise SDK documentation https://www.novell.com/documentation/developer/groupwise_sdk/gwsdk_gwwebservices/data/bktitle.html but I am still confused. The SDK download includes the wsdl file and I've tried something like the command below but I don't know how to specify additional info (Trusted Application username and key, server that the SOAP service is listening on). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    $test = New-WebServiceProxy -Uri "C:\gwsdk\groupwise.wsdl"

  • WSDL only works with web services.  It cannot be used with a file.  It is included as a reference.  YOU must have the GroupWise web service installed on the Novell system to use.
