  • Question

  • I have seen a lot of complaints about the lack of autocorrect in Word 2013 and I would like to put my hat in that ring. I do not think the designer in Word 2013 knew how important this is to people who use Word like me. In my old Word I would just enter abt and it would expand to about. I do alot of genealogy work and abt is used a lot.

I keep a log of my life and my family's life meaning I use Word a lot.

Not knowing the details it seems like much of the effort is a Copy/Paste effort but being in software for many years I know it is not that simple. I think Microsoft would make a lot of people happy by adding this feature for FREE.

Microsoft, please consider this.  Thank you.

  • Sorry, what lack of autocorrect in 2013? It's still there, still available, still working.

Go to File, Options, Proofing. The first button on the page is "AutoCorrect Options...", and if you click on that you can configure how you want autocorrect to work, including adding your own custom auto corrects if the ones you want aren't already listed.
