    I need to use group policy to secure Vista Ultimate as I have done in Windows Server 2003 under a domain with Active Directory. However, Vista doesn't appear to let me apply group policy to a group I created but instead to just individual users or to the built-in groups of Administrators or Non-Administrators. Any ideas? I will not be using Active Directory on a Domain for this one - it is just a stand-alone PC but I have multiple users on it and I need to make it easy for administering the GP.

    follow these links...it should be helpful...because vista supports GPO which is yet more powerful and hierarchial and has differetnt deployment methods....the links below should give a clear picture....post back with the updates...
