Explorer issue after installing and configuring AD in Windows Server 2012 R2 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    After installing and configuring AD in Windows Server 2012 R2.

    Please help me to resolve this issue.

    This behavior was already documented in the following KB, please see as below:

    "This error occurs because the Explorer.exe process accesses memory that has already been freed during the shutdown process."

  • I'd try;

    sfc /scannow

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    or possible a repair install.

    or since it is a dc if nothing above helps I'd stand up a new one, patch it fully, join existing domain, add active directory domain services, transfer roles over and decommission / demote old one.

    Thank you for replying.

    Yes I get this error message at the time restart and shut down.

    I don't know, how its related with 'installation and configuration of AD' but before 'installation and configuration of AD', I did restart and shut down multiple times. Even I checked it after reinstalling Windows Server, I don't this error message before 'installation and configuration of AD'.

    Please look for it.
