Retries not being attempted RRS feed

  • Question

  • Any ideas why my retries are not even being attempted?

          <ProtocolExecutionSettings>
     <RetrySchedule>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT00H05M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT00H15M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT01H00M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT03H00M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT06H00M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P0DT12H00M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P1DT00H00M00S</RetryDelay>
       <RetryDelay>P2DT00H00M00S</RetryDelay>
          </RetrySchedule>
        </ProtocolExecutionSettings>

    I see these get setup properly, as the NSProtocolRetriesSchedule table gets populated accordingly.

    When I run the NSDiagnosticsNotificationsFailed, it shows the NextRetryTime as NULL for all lines.

    I am making WebService calls in my DeliveryProtocol and was testing by shutting off my IIS.  I get Exceptions logged in the EventViewer by NotificationServices saying it failed to deliver, which is good and all, but I never see it attempt a retry.

    From what I've read so far, there is no way to force a delivery attempt?  Any workarounds to this?

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

  • Never mind.  I have two Protocols in my ADF file.  I only put the Retry Schedule in the second protocol and not the first one.
