Resource Usage View, globally hide "other Projects and Commitments" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to find out if there is a way to hide the Other Projects and Commitments under the resource usage view globally from the server side?  The way we use Project Server is with a RBS to keep others from viewing other projects including just the names of projects.  Since security is an issue we can not rely on users to uncheck the Load Resource Assignment box when opening Project Pro.

    Thank you for your help.

I am not aware of any way to disable the Load Summary Resource Assignments checkbox globally for all users in Microsoft Project 2010.  On the other hand, if your PMs only have access to the projects they own and manage, they will NOT see any of the other projects and commitments anyway.  Hope this helps.

  • For some reason they are seeing other projects in that view that they do not have access to view. Now, the Resource Pool is not govern by the RBS which is the only other reason I believe could cause this issue.
