Can I run Project Server 2013 ontop of SharePoint 2010 Enterprise RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have SharePoint 2010. Someone in our business wants Enterprise Project Management.  Can Project Server 2013 be used along side (or ontop of should I say) Sharepoint 2010 or do we have to, or is it advisable to install Project Server 2010.

The current SharePoint is on one machine, SQLServer 2008 R2 is on another machine.  Based o the answer to this question does what ever version require its own machine or is it best suited on the sharePoint machine......providing it has enough resources of course.

    Thank you in advance

To be able to install Project Server 2013, you must have SharePoint Enterprise 2013. It isn't possible to install Project Server 2013 in a SP 2010 farm.

If you choose to install Project Server 2010, you can use the machine you already have SP 2010 installed.
