Agent issue getting error " New configuration cannot be loaded, the error is Catastrophic failure" RRS feed

  • We have this happening on a cluster of 2 machines. These are Window's Server 2003, Datacenter Edition for 64-Bit Itanuim-based Systems. SP 2. We have other servers with the same os and we are not getting this error. We have tried several things. uninstall / reinstall. copy IA64 directory and install manually. remove the cache directories and bounce the health service. None of these actions have produced any resolution to the problem. any ideas, what could be causing this to happen?

  • Hi,

    Is this error reported in System Center Essentials? Which version of it?

    Please check if you use Local System Account to run the Heatlh Service.

    Is there any error  in the Operations Manager EventLog? Please post the details of the information here.
