Blank screen after login - Skype for business RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • So one day, this user reported his Skype contacts were missing.

    When logging into Skype for business, you get a window with no search bar and no contacts.

    I deleted profiles, uninstalled, reinstalled. Removed E3 license. Run procmon to monitor files and registry entries.

    Deleted Lync folders in local / app data all sorts. I found the following in tracing files.

    The server returned a security fault: 'The security token could not be authenticated or authorized'.

    The fault reason was: 'User is not SIP enabled.'.

    The user does have an E3 office license. We use Office 365 with ADFS to sync AD accounts.

    Holding Ctrl and right clicking Skype icon on taskbar you get a configuration list.

    These were the things I noticed missing compared to mine.

    EWS Internal URL;;--;
    Hanging Notification Status;;Disconnected;

    Lync OAUTH Authority URL;;--;

    EWS OAUTH Authority URL;;--;

    Got to be related to something server side. Got him to login to a different machine same issue.

    The machine has Office 2013. It does seem to work on machines with Office 365.

    I did install Skype for business basic, which I believe is the same version that comes with Office 365.

    Any help would be appreciated.
