DISPLAYING A PARTICULAR CATEGORY with total RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am new to SSRS and have a small doubt.

I need to create a table for only a specific category but that category should include the total employees in a state. Also need a total at the bottom.

    Example:

                                                                     CATEGORY C

STATE       TOTAL EMPLOYEES IN STATE       EMPLOYEES IN CAT C       %CATEGORY C (EMP IN CAT C/ TOT EMP)

    ALA                     200                                                  30                                                   15.0%

    ...                       .....                                                 .....                                                    .....

    TOTAL                 1700                                               200                                                   11.76%

    How can I acheive this?

    Kind Regards,

    Shivang Desai

  • Hi Shivang,

    Ok, got your question.

If you have each row for each employee and grouping at your report side then use below expression:-

In your EMPLOYEES IN CAT C  column write below expression:-

    =Sum(IIF(Fields!categrory.Value="C",1,0))

    In its total also

    =Sum(IIF(Fields!categrory.Value="C",1,0))

IF you have aggreagate at SQL or database side then use below expression:-

Let say employeecount  is the column having the counts

In your EMPLOYEES IN CAT C  column write below expression:-

    =Sum(IIF(Fields!categrory.Value="C",Fields!employeecount .Value ,0))

    In its total also

    =Sum(IIF(Fields!categrory.Value="C",Fields!employeecount .Value ,0))

    Thanks

  • Hi Shivang  ,

Select table row and press F4 , it will open properties.

In properties you can see the properties like BorderColor , it is Black changed it to no color or white.

    Thanks

  • Hi Shivag,

Then just create one row as Add Total after as shown below:-

Then write summation  on that row.

    Thanks

  • Hi Prasad,

May be you have not got my question or may be I am misunderstood.

I have a state name "ALA" and it has 400 emplyees, for that category c is 100 employees.. I just need to display category c employees not all category employees.

    Thanks.
