License for server 2016

  Hi,

  Since this is a licensing question, I would recommend you to contact the the Microsoft licensing specialists.
  
  If your plan is to upgrade your current Windows Server 2012 R2 servers to Windows Server 2016, you can also have a look at the license conversion in the link below:

  Hi,

  You will need to buy new license for windows server 2016. This article of Windows Server 2016 Licensing changes, which describes in detail the server license some old and new regulations. However, for the same version of the server, their licenses can be converted, as described in the following article:
