DeploymentWorkbench Deploy Windows 10 shows up as Windows 10 Home x64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am just getting started with using DeploymentWorkbench. On the Step Right Click Operating Systems > Import Operating System then I specify Source directory

And in Destination directory name it says "Windows 10 Home x64" but I want Windows 10 Pro not Home. Is this just the default that is filling in or am I really just creating a Windows 10 Home ISO?

    Thanks for your help.

  • I think it's choosing that automatically because the Home version is the first index of the multi-index install media you're using. You can see all of the indexes by running the following PowerShell command:

    Get-WindowsImage -ImagePath D:\sources\install.wim

Just substitute D:\ for whatever the path is to the sources folder of your install media.

That being said, the directory name can be whatever you want. I usually name it the version and build number. 17763.615 for example.
