Invalid Credentials The network path was not found. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I keep getting this error when PXE booting to deploy an image. I have checked the network path in the Bootstrap.ini and it is correct. I have also added the credentials in the bootstrap.ini and it still continues to prompt. I updated the server share after every change and I even tried rebuilding the boot image completely and still get the same message.

  • Hello,

    when you are in WinPE, press F8 and try to manually ping the server and map a drive to the deployment share using "net use" and see if it works.

  • I can ping the server, and when I do net use, it completes successfully. I then try to log into the credentials prompt and same thing.

  • The bootstrap.ini is:

    [Settings]
    Priority=Default

    [Default]
    DeployRoot=\\AWCDEPLOY\AWC$
    UserID=******
    UserDomain=CORPORATE
    UserPassword=******

    SkipBDDWelcome=YES

    KeyboardLocale=0409:00000409

    In the process of getting the BDD.log, it shows that it is trying to connect to a deployment share that does not exist anymore. Even though all my settings do not reflect that. It is trying to connect to AWCshare/Share$ which i made as a test but then deleted.

  • So i noticed that when building the boot images it copys files to a hidden directory. So I deteled the whole hidden directory and started again. I was able to get it to load and log me in and complete the task. The issue is when it reboots and begins to start the task, it almost instantaneously fails. This was similar to what I was facing before.

    Here is a link to the BDD.log:
