Error Code 10060: Connection timeout - while opening webpage RRS feed

  • I have an odd situation where users try to connect to a intranet portal getting connection timeouts. For few users it works fine and few users its not. Users able to connect to portal by unchecking "Use Automatic Configuration Script" (.pac) in Internet Explorer.

    Technical Information (for support personnel)
    Error Code 10060: Connection timeout
    Background: The gateway could not receive a timely response from the website you are trying to access. This might indicate that the network is congested, or that the website is experiencing technical difficulties.
    Date: 20-3-2012 7:45:13 [GMT]
    Server: *********
    Source: Firewall


    We have 2 outbound TMG proxy servers. We use .pac file for internet proxy confiurations

    Users are able to access the Intranet portal if they uncheck "Use Automatic Configuration Script".

    However with proxy Intranet connectiivty fails with timed out error. If we restart TMG services on proxy server then Intranet works fine for some time may be more than an hour also.But again it gives the same behavoiur


    We need to be able to connect to that portal with "Use Automatic Configuration Script" enabled.

    It quite urgent, please let me know if you need further information on this.

    can anyone advice me on how to fix this.

    Is there a question about Exchange in there somewhere? It sounds more
    like a problem with TMG. If so, you should ask your question in that
    forum.
