PowerPivot for SharePoint installation went fine... Service App not responding (continual load with no error)


  • After installing PowerPivot for SharePoint on our 3 Server Farm, all signs pointed to a successful installation (no errors during install, configuration or deployment).

    But when I go into Central Admin / Service Applicaitons and click on the PowerPivot Service to manage it, the browser never loads and gives NO error. Same with under General Application Settings / PowerPivot Management Dashboard (assuming these may be going to the same location?).
    The service application properties come up fine, just not the management.

    Any reason off the bat why these management pages won't load? Is it a rookie mistake and a step that I have missed?
    I checked the ports and they are fine... not blocked on the App server.

    SharePoint 2010 Enterprise
    Server Farm - 3 servers: WFE/CA, APP, SQL
    SQL Server 2008 R2
    APP Server is running Reporting Services and PowerPivot (SQL Analysis Services) as well as a few other services (not all of them).
