  • Hello, hopefully you can help me.

Everytime that I am trying to add  3 different sub projects into  a Master, I am getting the attached error msj, can you advise? This is only happening with 3 out of 14, that means the other 11 can be added without any problem. Here´s the error:

  • Skiold,

    So what is the error?

An error when creating a master project is normally due to one of two things. First, the user attempts to insert the same subproject twice. Second, the file is corrupt or would create a circular relationship.

In the first case, even though you may have saved a given file under a different name, the operating system identifies both files the same (i.e. Title) and therefore when the user tries to insert the second version, the message pops up.

In the second case, if the subprojects have links on summary lines, those could turn into potential circular relationships.

Also, what version of Project are you using? Is it updated with the latest service pack/public updates?
