DHCP Relay Agent - NIC not showing to add "New Interface RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to configure DHCP relay agent on Server 2008 R2 virtual machine. I added the NIC to the server and configured IP, subnet mask, DNS, etc. for the NIC. Here is my issue: Referencing the instructions from Microsoft at

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff687684(v=ws.10).aspx

When I am on step 5: Right-click DHCP Relay Agent, and then select New Interface.

The new NIC I added does not show up in the list to select as the “New Interface.”

How do I get the new NIC to show up as a new interface?

  • Hi,

You need to disable rras and then re-enable it again, your nics will show up after re-enabling it.

"Local Area Connection" is my new nic
