  • Way 1. Use Previously-created Windows 8 password reset disk
    Step 1: Sign in Windows 8 with a wrong password, and then click OK to close the error message.
    Step 2: Click the Reset Password link to open the Password Reset Wizard.
    Step 3: Insert the previously-created password reset disk in computer, and click Next.
    Step 4: Select the inserted password reset disk and click Next.
    Step 5: Type a new Windows 8 password and password hint, and then click Next.
    Step 6: Click Finish button when Windows 8 password reset is done.

    Way 2. Use another Windows 8 administrator account
    Step 1: Sign in Windows 8 via another administrator account.
    Step 2: Type “user accounts” in the search box and select User Accounts in the search results.
    Step 3: User Accounts windows will open, with All Windows 8 user accounts displayed.
    Step 4: Select the user account that you want to reset password of.
    Step 5: Type a new password twice, a password hint once, and then click Change password button.

    Way 1:

    1. Reset Windows 8 Password with PIN logon

    If you feel troublesome creating a password reset disk, you can create a PIN to logon Windows 8 to reset Windows 8 password. That’s simpler than password reset disk and PIN is a new password service of Windows 8. Now I am telling you how to create a PIN and how to use it to logon Windows 8.

    Step 1: On the default Metro style home window, click Control Panel.
    Step 2: Select Users from main navigation bar and click Create a PIN.

    Step 3: Type your current password.

    Step 4: Enter PIN by using a 4-digit code.

    Step 5: Finish. You have successfully created a PIN which is a quick, convenient way to sign in to the PC.

    How Can I use a PIN to Logon Windows 8 Password?

    There are two Sign-in options you can select to logon Windows 8. Now you can click the right one and enter the 4-code PIN to logon Windows when you forget or lose your password.
