AD Managed Service Account for SharePoint Services RRS feed

  • Hi All;

    Can I using active directory managed service account ( MSA ) for SharePoint 2013 Services ?

    in addition I want create managed server account in AD below script and using this account for SharePoint Services such as : SP_Pool , SP_Service .

    In my scenario , I have two SQL Server - Two WFE and Two APP ...

    MSA Script :

    New-ADServiceAccount

    MSAs are not supported by SharePoint yet.

  • You should be using managed accounts for automatic password change/reset by SharePoint. These are nothing but normal service account added in SharePoint as managed account.

  • Yes, you can. This is a normal scenario where ad accounts are created before installation/configuration of SharePoint.

    thanks a lot of your replay

    I was created SharePoint Account with Scripts in AD before I installed SP and after that I using those accounts fo sharePoint .

    Now , can I using SP managed account password change for this account ?
