Does Outlook 2016 remeber what folders are expanded when closed?

    Question

  • Hi,

Just wondering if someone could tell me if Outlook 2016 is supposed to remember the folders that you have expanded from within additional mailboxes (not default) when it is closed.

What I’m currently seeing is that Outlook will remember the folders that have been expanded for the default mailbox but not for additional mailboxes, these need to be re-expanded each time Outlook is started.

    Thanks,

    Ben

  • Hi Ben,

This is the expected behavior in Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016.

You will need to have "Download shared folders" option enabled so that Outlook will remember the collapse/expand status after restarting:
