Installing Vista on XP PC with dual-boot RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to update my XP home PC with Vista and I want it to dual-boot. Which version of Vista do I need - upgrade or full? I've been looking through the forums on dual-boot issues but there never is any mention of which version's DVD  is being used.  Can someone help. Thank you.

  • If you wish to dual-boot Windows Vista with an existing Windows XP installation, you'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows Vista and install it on a separate partition or hard drive.
