  • Hi Team,

    I have a website that host on Azure VM

    i have concerned about azure outbound data transfer.

    what happened if my user access my website on azure, is there any outbound data traffic usage, if user access website ?

    please help :)

  • As mentioned, if data moves out from the region where you have your servers located with the web sites, it will be charged. I would interpret externally as data moving out around the world :)

    (Select your region and currency that applies to you)

    Outbound data transfers - "i.e. data going out of Azure data centers; zones refer to source region"

  • If the website is open to the Internet, then yes.

    Outbound data is charged based on the total amount of data moving out of the Azure datacenters via the Internet in a given billing cycle. Data transfers between Azure services located within the same datacenter are not subject to any charge. The first 5 GB of outbound data transfers per billing month are also free.
