How to create an unattend.xml for a server 2012 sysprep RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Have a new 2012 Standard server configured with all of our settings for the Administrator account for example.  How can I create an Unattend.xml with all of our settings before I run Sysprep.exe?  I have seen examples on the Internet but would prefer to have it automatically generated so it can be used for the sysprep.exe /generalize /unattend:unattend.xml so all 2012 servers have the custom settings, drives, page file, SNMP, etc.

I'm working with the DeploymentWorkbench but guess I'm missing the basics on how to do this for the first time.  Is there a step by step guide to capture most of our configuration to this Unattend.xml file?
    Regards

  • MDT will create the unattend.xml for you based on best practice standards. You have the option to customise it further.

For getting startd examples, look at the MDT client videos, the principle is the same for server builds.
