List of all monitors that has auto-recovery tasks RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Is there a way to get a full list of all monitors that has auto-recovery task configured?  We are trying to review the default ones and check if we need to add any more auto-recovery tasks.

    Thanks a lot in advance for your help

  • Would agree with Scott. Another option is to use Visual Studio - if you create an empty project and add a reference to a Management Pack then you can review the recoveries (and which monitors they relate to) in that Management Pack. It isn't exactly automated though and would be a time consuming and tedious process.

  • unless you have bought Silect's MP Studio tool, no there is not an easy way to do this. I have been messing around with loading an XML MP into PowerShell and looking at the properties of what is in the MP, but I have not thought of a way to make powershell report on what is in the MP yet. I just do not have the same amount of free time that I use to have.

    Good luck!

  • Hi

    you can use powershell to get monitors with recovery.

    Script

    Import-module operationsmanager
    $mps=Get-scommanagementpack
    foreach($Mp in $mps)
    {
    $recoverys= $Mp.GetRecoveries()
    foreach($recovery in $recoverys)
    {
    if($recovery)
    {
    $recoverys.name ,$recoverys.monitor.name
    }
    }
