Hyper-V LUN volumes disk space not monitored RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have several Hyper-V hosts running in our environment.  Each of the hosts have a few LUN volumes (NTFS) assigned.  These volumes have been detected by SCOM successfully.  SCOM is monitoring the performance of these disk volumes, however as they have no drive letter assigned, these volumes are not being monitored with disk space.

Is there a way to get SCOM to monitored the disk space usage for these volumes?  Another tricky thing with this setup is that the LUN volumes can move between different Hyper-V hosts, hence we need to configure SCOM so that it can pick up the right Hyper-V host owner for the LUN volumes.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Winnie
