How to save a view with tasks collapsed RRS feed

  • After collapsing the tasks, I would like to save as a view. But it keeps expanding the tasks.

    No, this is not possible.  By definition, a view consists of a table, a group, a filter, and a screen.  The view definition does not include the outline level information you seek.  Sorry.  Hope this helpsl

    There is a work around - use a custom Flag field and set it to Yes for every task you want visible. Then create a filter to only display tasks with that flag field = Yes

    Now you can create a new View using that filter and get what you want. Uncheck the Show related summary tasks option in the Filter edit dialog.

    Swap between Views to see all tasks or just the filtered ones.
