Storage Pool Creation RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi guys

I have this situation. I created a Hyper-3 windows 2012 Cluster. I create a CSV using 2 Volumes from IBM V7000. I create a Virtual Machine to run System Center Virtual Machine Manager and this VM is hosted in one of this volumes.

Hyper-v 3 Cluster. 2 Hosts. 1 CSV 2 Disks 1TB each from a IBM v7000. I have this view below. My problem is when I try a V2V from vmware to Hyper-V available space is the one from C drive from Hosts. So I understand I have create a storage pool. But I have no idea how to create one and second will my SCVMM Virtual Machine will be lost since is hosted in one of the volumes below?

    thanks a lot

  • yes. this is a known bug and will be adressed in an update. the workaround is to add some storage to your host (local storage) to bypass the check. You can than safely place the VMware vm on one of your LUNs.
