Should We extend our schema

Question
-
Hi we're slowly implementing SCCM 2012 in an environment of about 120 end users (and growing likey 150 by years end). I want to convince my manager to extend the schema on our AD server; he's concerned about the affect it's going to have on that system. I'm trying to persuade him (the first time I talked to him just to broach the subject I wasn't prepared and dismissed it quickly) to extend the schema as I've heard that it makes things easier and things run smoother as the site can be published. I'm pretty new to SCCM so I don't fully understand the benefits. But if someone could give me some compelling reasons\information I may be able to persuade him, on the other hand if someone has reasons why not to and they apply to us I'll drop it (as I'm more concerned with our environment than I am with my SCCM server). Thanks in advance for any information\opinions

Of course you should extend the schema :-)

Agree with both Henrik and Torsten.
There really are no downsides to extending the schema and lots of benefits.
