Passwordless sign-in not using biometrics for Android RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone else have this issue? We have setup passwordless sign in in AzureAD and have enabled it for our Intune registered devices. It works well on iOS but not on Android. For Android users, instead of using the biometrics after selecting the correct number, they are asked to enter their PIN. the then defeats the object of seamless passwordless sign in.

  • Thanks for posting this; I was starting to feel crazy -  I have the exact same problem, I have a very recent model Android phone but I think I have found a way around it; in settings turn on App lock, that enables the screen lock,in my case fingerprint - very convoluted solution. I hope this helps and that you understand my English (I am Danish).

  • Thanks Yanneish, I tried that but unfortunately this did not help in my case. I am using a Pixel 4 device(Face Unlock) and we have another user on a Pixel 3 (fingerprint). I seems that the authenticator does not recognise the biometric on these devices.
