very strange repeating email / ad account deletion issue RRS feed

  • Hello -

    a user's AD account was accidentally deleted, then was recreated in AD.  now, any SCSM incident with that user as the 'affected user' emails affected user and primary owner (per template, this is normal it emails those two) but it does it on the hour each time there is an AD import for any incident that is not in a 'closed' state. 

    Has anyone seen this bug - if so how can I resolve it?

  • If I remember right it should be the object at SCSM console -> Administration -> Deleted Items which is flagged for deletion.

  • Does not sound like a bug to me.  You have two user objects with the same Notification addresses.  One of the user objects is flagged for deletion but it is still present in the database.  You need to clean up the SCSM database and your issue will go away.
