SQL Server Profiler: how to delete a user template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have created several "Test"  SQL Server Profiler templates.

Now I would like to clean-up the templates's list but I'm not able to find how to delete them.

    Somebody can help me?

    Thankx

  • The default location to store Profiler templates is:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Templates\SQL Profiler\

Any the you created 'should' also be located there. Find and delete the ones you wish.

  • 1. Open Sql Server Profiler
    2. File > Templates > Edit Template ...
    3. Select the template you want to delete
    4. Click the Delete button to the right of the selected template

    Be careful
    - you will not get any "are you sure" message, and you will not get any "template deleted" confirmation message either.
